The Carter Observatory tells the story of the Universe from a distinctly New Zealand perspective. From the Big Bang, through our solar system, visitors journey through space to learn about the star paths that guided Maori to Aotearoa and to New Zealand’s part in the search for life in outer space.

Dean worked with architects Jasmax in creating the visitor path in the refurbished buildings and developed the conceptual framework for the content delivery.
