Design Strategies is led by Dean Cato, a 40 year veteran of the NZ design industry. Dean's works cover theatre, film and television, corporate communications, design management, brand development, product design, interior design, hospitality sector design, exhibition development and design for museums, science centres and tourism ventures.

A staunch advocate for the end user, his diverse history is all brought to bear on creating solutions for your visitor experience.

Dean's methodology is a robust process based on his experience with a wide variety of organisations. It borrows heavily from the museum world but is balanced with pragmatism from the corporate sector, broadened by the tourism industry and given depth by engagement with cultural institutions and groups.
